The lining concept is oriented on the operating conditions of the glass melting tank as much as possible. An accurate recommendation for the lining of the different areas can only be made if all stresses are known. For the checker work, proven chimney blocks are available in a great number of different shapes for different flue cross sections of 120 mm to 170mm. The combination of bricks and with openings on the one hand and full bricks on the other results not only in high stability but also in a high degree of effectiveness.
